The Inclusion Team
The аĿª½± Inclusion Team is always available to provide additional support where needed. The team works closely with all аĿª½± academies to ensure strong communication exists concerning the needs of individual pupils and staff. Referrals to the Inclusion team can include requests for support from the Inclusion Advisors, SEMH and Trauma-Informed Schools Support, SENDCo support and Educational Psychologists.
Sally Hannaford
Director of Inclusion
Sally has worked in education for 25 years as a teacher, Headteacher and latterly as an аĿª½± Director and OFSTED inspector. Sally is responsible for safeguarding across the trust.
Iona Stoddard
Inclusion Lead
Iona has been a primary school teacher since 1999 and, as a SENDCo in a range of settings, since 2003. She is a TiS UK practitioner and also a Team Teach trainer, delivering de-escalation and positive handling skills across the trust.
Jamie Bignell
Area SENDCo
Jamie has been a primary school teacher for 10 years. She has worked as a SENDCo in a range of settings and now supports inclusion across a range of schools. Jamie is currently training with TIS UK.
Camilla Carter
Area SENDCo
Camilla has been SENDCo at Sandy Hill Academy since 2018, completing the NASENCO qualification in September 2019. She is the Designated Teacher for Children in Care, a Senior Mental Health Lead and a TiS Practitioner.
Sarah Dingle
Area SENDCo
Sarah has been a primary school teacher and a SENDCo for over 23 years in a range of settings. Sarah has trained as both a Thrive and TiS Practitioner. She is the Designated Teacher for Children in Care, Deputy Safeguarding Lead and Mental Health First Aider. She is also both an Autism Champion and Dyslexia Champion.
Gemma Wilson
Area SENDCo
Gemma qualified as a teacher in 2009 and completed the National Award for Special Educational Needs Co-ordination in November 2013. Since then, Gemma has worked with a wide range of pupils from those in the Early Years Foundation Stage, through to Year 6 in her role as SENDCo. Gemma is trained as a Thrive and TiS practitioner and has also completed the Senior Mental Health Lead training.
Tracy McLennan
аĿª½± Education Welfare/Attendance
Tracy works with school leaders to support regular school attendance and to provide guidance on school exclusions. She has worked in education for over 20 years and has been a senior leader both within the local authority and in schools. Tracy is a qualified SENDCo, TISUK practitioner and Mental Health First Aider.
